StageMic was created because we needed it for a show.
It is an independent theatre tool focused on a practical problem: knowing who wears each radio mic, when it needs to change hands and what backstage crew need to do next.
StageMic is proprietary software. Downloads and release notes are available on GitHub; licence keys are currently available on request.
StageMic was conceived and directed by a solo developer, with features shaped by practical theatre experience.
AI assisted with interface design, coding and automated testing. The app has received extensive testing by the developer, both during live shows and through simulated show scenarios.
StageMic does not include an AI service or send your show data to an AI provider.
Your show files and autosaved work are stored locally on your computer.
When you connect backstage displays, StageMic shares live show information directly with those devices over your network, without routing through a StageMic cloud service - such a thing does not exist.
StageMic does not upload your show data or usage analytics to us or to an AI provider.
An internet connection is required for licence activation and any required check-ins through Keygen.sh. Other licence-management actions, such as manual check-ins and deactivation, also contact Keygen.
Show planning, OSC control and backstage displays otherwise run locally within your licence’s offline allowance.
If you submit the beta signup form, we use the details you provide to communicate with you about testing and arrange licence delivery.
The form is hosted by Google Forms. Information you choose to post in GitHub issues may be publicly visible.
StageMic requires a valid licence. Making the app available to download does not grant permission to redistribute, modify or relicense it. Use is subject to the applicable StageMic licence terms.
Third-party components, including Electron, retain their respective licences.
