Plan radio mic allocations, follow handovers and keep your crew up to date throughout the show.
StageMic brings your mic plot and backstage changes together in one desktop app. Build your show on a Mac or Windows computer, then share a live display with crew on phones, tablets or laptops.
See your allocations by mic, character or actor. Link multiple characters to the same actor, fill allocations forward across scenes and spot conflicting assignments before rehearsals.
The live backstage display shows the current scene’s handovers, with the people involved more prominent than the mic number.
Crew can mark each handover complete, and every connected display updates. Current Allocations also shows who is wearing each mic—useful when someone needs a battery change or a quick check.
Send OSC messages from QLab or another compatible show-control application to select scenes automatically. You can also advance scenes manually from StageMic.
Print mic plots, character plots, actor plots and backstage swap lists. Choose individual actors to give each person their own report, or copy actor and character tables into an email.
Show files stay on your computer. Backstage displays connect directly over your network, without a StageMic cloud service.
An internet connection is required for licence activation and any required check-ins. Show planning and live operation otherwise work locally within your licence’s offline allowance.
StageMic began as a tool needed for a show. Its development is guided by practical theatre experience, live-show testing and simulated backstage scenarios.
